As some people may be aware, I run the main foundry and studio with my partner, Freddy. We met many years ago now whilst training under the artist Laurence Edwards in a ‘atelier’ style workshop. Freddy and I would stop working for Laurence and switch to our own experiments in bronze at the end of the day. Our very first ‘foundry’ consisting of an old dustbin and converted shopping trolley kiln.
This year, one studio and two sighthounds later, we decided to officially tie the knot in Suffolk. Married at Blythburgh Church, the service took place with one of Laurence’s sculptures behind the alter (I even remember installing this as one of my earliest jobs). Full circle.
